Botiga is an social ecommerce startup helping local small business to sell products in communities near them. The customers can pay for the product online and it will be delivered to the customer doorstep.
We started with a workshop to understand the business requirments, problems they are solving and value they are adding to the sellers. The idea was very was exciting and the impact on small business owners is exceptional. We want to capture the essence of it in the brand and complete user experience.
People are the key
We were able to understand completely what the founder is envisioning and gave us a clear idea about how to bring it life. The sessions are planned with clear goals for the workshop and our facilitator drive them to keep engaged. People are at the core for an amazing experience, Every action we take should drive them towards their goals without any friction.
We chose the colors to depict the vibrancy of community and at the same time keeping the colors fresh and organic.
The whole idea was to create a brand that has liveliness and resonate strongly with people.
The logo is constructed to be timeless and can be used across any medium at any size without losing its identity. and the logo is made with isometric shapes of a buildings representing community.
All the illustrations for the onboarding screen are custom made to communicate the message visually.
We understood that most of the conversations between customers and businesses are happening through what’app. So, we want to leverage Botiga into their workflow than stand out. We made order screen to give an overview of their overall sales from each community.
Store is where everything happens, So it has to be intuitive which is what we did. We kept the entire app easy to use making sure than actions are easy to reach making the whole design fluid and invisible.
“Good design is invisible”
During our initial research, we identified major problem sellers are facing is managing their orders. They leave out orders and had to face customers rage and sometimes even loose the customer. To solve it, we designed a delivery screen where you see all the orders that are to be delivered on that particular day helping sellers to send orders without missing.
Everything at fingertips
Sellers can easily find all their information and toggle their service communities easily. Support is utmost priority so we have that easy to access to sellers through various medium. We all certainly want to reach out and talk to a person when we are stuck with a problem.
We designed a seamless experience that makes buying products and managing orders a breeze.
Going beyond UX, we added illustrations and subtle fun animations to bring a smile when using the app.
We had got tremendous positive feedback from early beta test group on how easy the apps were easy to use and we are happy to see that we were able to meet most of the anticipations of the small sellers making their business management easier.
